Key West Schooners
& Sailing, Sailboats, and Sails.
Sailing the waters of Key West aboard a tall ship is an adventure most
want to repeat. Majestic and towering, these vessels remind admirers of
Key West's rich maritime history. You can relax aboard one of the island's
historic schooners, each spacious and impressive. With tall wooden masts
securing their billowing sails in the breeze, the ships leisurely meander
the calm waters as the sun sets. The boats are very stable and offer drinks
for the duration of the sail. The crews are happy to oblige guests who
want to help hoist the sails.
Here are our favorites:
The Schooner Halie & Matthew, the newest addition to the fleet of schooners in Key West, is an impressive 118-foot gaff rigged schooner. This vessel is the genuine article under sail - with wide decks and traditional woodwork.
Sunset sail schedule: Available year round. 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm daily. $55 per person. Includes beer, wine, soft
drinks, water, & ice. Guests are welcome to bring aboard their own beverages and snacks.

The 80-foot Schooner Adirondack II was built in 1998 and modeled after late-nineteenth century pilot schooners - designed for carrying passengers - and offers room for 60 seated guests. With nearly two-thousand square feet of sail, this wooden sailing vessel is very comfortable and fast.
Sunset sail schedule: Available November to April. 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm daily. $49 per adult, $34 per child. Beverages sold on-board for $1, including beer, wine, champagne, soft drinks, and water.

This all-wooden vessel is extremely stable and strong. You will

masts, and huge billowing sails. This trip is only available from
Thanksgiving to Memorial Day.
