Dolphins Encounters in Key West"See local Key West dolphins in the wild & up close"
Schools of wild dolphins inhabit the waters surrounding Key West, and there are several small companies willing to take you out in search of these magical creatures in their natural habitat. These are usually small “six-pack” boats which take 4 hour trips in the early morning or at mid-day to what is called the “dolphin playground”. Dolphins are curious, friendly, but wild mammals that are protected by stringent federal regulations. Visitors are not allowed to feed, touch or swim with dolphins in Key West. They may, however, come up to the boat and frolic and jump for your pleasure and leave you overjoyed at this unforgettable meeting. Next, your guide will then take you to some wonderful backcountry snorkeling spots to see live coral, sponges, and colorful tropical fish. Keep in mind that dolphin are wild animals and, although the captains do an excellent job of finding them each day, their presence is never guaranteed. The pristine beauty of their home, though, will never disappoint. We continue to book the original dolphin charter of Key West. Her trip is limited to six passengers, morning and afternoon. Light snacks and beverages, as well as all your gear, are included in these trips which are priced at $85 per person. For reservations and information:
