Smooth seas made for a perfect boat ride to an uninhabited offshore island beach

With summer winding down, we headed out to the backcountry islands offshore of Key West and went to our favorite (somewhat secret) beach.

The seas were so calm that boats on the horizon appeared to float in the sky.  And at 90 degrees, the sea surface temperature kept us in the water as long as we wanted.

Enjoy this view of the glassy water as we raced across the shallows, finally resting the bow of the boat on the deserted beach, an easy hop directly onto the sand.
