Fireworks in Key West will be launched off the White Street pier. But the best place to see the show is from the water. Don’t miss out on this fun experience.

Have an absolute BLAST zooming across the water…all the way around the island of Key West!

Tours around Key West are 1.5 hours, cover 28 miles, and launch five times each day.

Waverunners, heirs to the Jet Ski, are a total thrill and a great way to see Key West from the beautiful waters that surround the island.

The waverunner tour gives you the most bang for your buck. Up to three persons can ride one a single waverunner (450-pound max capacity), and your journey around the island travels 28 miles over the 90-minute adventure.

You’ll experience Key West from the sea as you glide along – following an experienced guide on your way through the Atlantic Ocean and into the Gulf of Mexico.

Bring a waterproof camera to capture the memorable views such as the Southernmost Point, a WWII submarine base, wild mangrove islands, and many historic sites. You’ll have an opportunity to hit the gas and do some “freestyle riding” along the way – and its not unusual to encounter schools of wild dolphin, stingrays and sea turtles as you travel.

Many people tell us that these tours are the absolute highlight of their vacation.

You’ll be given life jackets and instruction on how to operate the waverunner. Next, you’ll begin your tour, circumnavigating the island of Key West. Along the way, you’ll make a few stops where your guide will interpret the scenery and you’ll have the opportunity to play and take a dip.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have your own boat in Key West? Well you can! Private charters sail nightly to see the sunset.

Get away from the crowd…design your own private, personal, sunset voyage.

Bring aboard whatever snacks you would like, maybe a special bottle of wine or champagne, and have an on-board picnic.

A private charter is pure bliss. Just you, your family and friends, and the Captain and mate, sailing Key West’s aqua-blue waters. You are welcome to help sail, and even beginners are encouraged to participate if they like.

Charters depart from the Historic Seaport and, in our opinion, are one of the best ways to spend a couple hours in Key West.

Blue Ice – 47′ Sloop, one of Key West’s largest and fastest 6-passenger sailing vessels

What to expect:

This boat was built for sailing, and being aboard her is a joy. You’ll sail out into Key West harbor and weave your way through the rest of the fleet while the sun inches its way towards the horizon. Sunset Cruise – Glass Bottom Boat

On this sunset tour you’ll first be taken out to see the reef aboard a comfortable (and air-conditioned!), glassbottom boat.

Trip details:

On your ride out stay “on deck” to enjoy the fresh air and views. Once at the reef, go below deck and enjoy the wonders of the reef’s creatures.

A very knowledgeable and helpful mate will be narrating what is in view – much of it is very interesting.

Next, you’ll be whisked back to Key West to enjoy a harbor tour and the stunning Key West sunset.

This Key West sunset cruise is aboard a 65-foot “bugeye” schooner and offers 8-9 different bottled wines from around the world (changes monthly according to Wine Spectator awards)

Especially nice is the small crowd. This boat only takes 23 passengers, even though their capacity is 32.

With tall wooden masts securing their billowing sails in the breeze, the ships leisurely meander the calm waters as the sun sets.

Schooner Appledore Star

68′ all-wooden schooner built in Maryland in 1982. This impressive double-masted sailing vessel has a length-on-deck of 49 feet, draws 4-feet of water with the centerboard up, and has 14.5 feet of beam (that’s “width” for you landlubbers). The chair-height cabin top provides comfortable roomy seating. On-board is a marine bathroom (that’s “head” for you landlubbers). She is an elegant vessel on the water with a capacity of 22 passengers.

What to expect:

Check-in 30 minutes prior to your trip start time at the Historic Seaport. You’ll sail from downtown, leisurely entering the harbor and out to sea. Many ships will be sailing nearby, and you will have plenty of scenery to enjoy, including an expansive view of Key West and the spectacular sunset. The Schooner America is quite an impressive vessel. This majestic ship is a reproduction of the famous and fast sailboat that won the America’s Cup race in the mid-nineteenth century. Measuring 105′ overall, this ship is an engineering marvel, combining modern construction techniques with her classic lines.

Check-in 30 minutes prior to your trip start time. You’ll depart from the Historic Seaport and sail among the rest of the fleet of sunset sailboats. Traditional, 86-foot, double-masted schooner.

Built in 1978, its maiden voyage circumnavigated the planet. This all-wooden vessel is extremely stable and strong.

You will not soon forget the beautiful bright-work (varnished wood), towering masts, and huge billowing sails.

This trip is only available during the winter season – from Thanksgiving to Memorial Day.
